Pilates

Person rolling out a black exercise or yoga mat on a light-colored wooden floor.

I teach Pilates in a way that’s intelligent, adaptable, and genuinely supportive of real bodies.

I’m a qualified APPI Pilates Instructor, trained in a method recognised worldwide for its clarity, safety, and effectiveness. APPI Pilates takes the principles of classical Pilates and breaks each exercise down into progressive levels, making it accessible whether you’re new to movement, managing pain, or looking to build strength with precision and care.

This approach means the work meets you where you are. No forcing. No pushing. No “keeping up”.

why pilates?

Pilates helps you move better, feel stronger, and use your body more efficiently.

It can:

  • Improve core strength and posture

  • Increase flexibility and joint mobility

  • Reduce persistent aches and pains

  • Support bone health and balance

  • Boost energy and mental clarity

Because it’s adaptable, Pilates can be shaped to suit different bodies, injuries, energy levels, and life stages.

how i work

My Pilates teaching is deeply informed by somatic education.

That means we don’t just focus on what your body does, but how it feels and how your nervous system is involved in the way you move, hold tension, and respond to stress.

By combining Pilates with somatic awareness, the work becomes less about effort and more about:

  • Improved coordination and alignment

  • Greater ease and fluidity in movement

  • A stronger connection between mind and body

  • Practical tools you can use beyond the mat

The result is movement that supports your everyday life, not just your workout.

This is Pilates as a form of self-care. Thoughtful, responsive, and designed to help you feel at home in your body again.
